Matt Corrion, PLA, ASLA
President
As the founder and President of Outdoor Design Group, Matt provides the creative vision and leadership for the firm. Matt is a licensed landscape architect with over 25 years of experience working in the landscape architecture, land planning, and land development industries. He has a proven track record of designing exceptional landscapes, and in helping clients achieve their goals through the right blend of creativity and practicality.
Matt holds a degree in Landscape Architecture from Michigan State University and is a licenced landscape architect in Colorado.
Todd Rutherford, PLA
Senior Associate
Todd brings a background in both the sciences and the arts to his role at Outdoor Design Group. His diverse knowledge and his expertise range from plant ecology to planning and site design. He has provided his design skills to a wide range of projects, from small courtyard gardens to large resorts.
Todd is a graduate of Colorado State University with degrees in Landscape Architecture, Plant Science and Fine Art. He is a licensed landscape architect in Colorado, Idaho, and Texas.
Brooke Alexander
Associate
Brooke’s knowledge covers an array of topics within the industry ranging from environmental horticulture, landscape design, sustainability and agricultural biology. Her transdisciplinary approach to design has proven to be valuable on residential, commercial, regional and educational projects.
Brooke holds a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University in Environmental Horticulture with Concentrations in Landscape Design and Contracting & Nursery and Landscape Management, and a master’s degree from Colorado State University in Bioagricultural Sciences
Juan Rodriguez
Associate
Juan specializes in creating visually compelling designs that resonate with both professionals and clients. His approach centers on repurposing and rejuvenating spaces while keeping their character. He strives to ensure every project tells a meaningful story and enhances the human experience.
Juan has a landscape architecture degree from Iowa State University, and is originally from Puerto Rico
Ryan Mersmann, PG, CPSS
Principal Consultant
Ryan is a Principal Consultant of Outdoor Design Group focusing on the following services: business operations planning and management; land use and water/wastewater evaluation services; environmental assessment, remediation, and regulatory compliance solutions; financial analysis; construction management/owner representation; and project controls development/oversight. He has approximately 25 years of experience in environmental geosciences, land use planning and management, and business operations management. Ryan is Owner and Vice President of MCG Hospitality Development located in Bryan/College Station, Texas.
Amie Mersmann, MBA
Principal Consultant
Amie is a Principal Consultant for Outdoor Design Group focusing on the following services: strategic business planning, market analysis, economic modeling, financial analysis, marketing and branding, resort/facility operations, and event planning/management. She has approximately 25 years of experience in business management, public administration, and education, including over 17 years of experience in planning, development, and management for the Outdoor Hospitality Industry. Aime is Owner and President of MCG Hospitality Development located in Bryan/College Station, Texas.
